HARRISONBURG — Only three Dominion Virginia Power customers in Rockingham County remain without power as of Friday afternoon, according to the company.
Around the Shenandoah Valley and Western Piedmont regions, Dominion still has more than 3,300 customers without electricity after a windstorm swept through the state June 29. Crews from around the country have come to Virginia to assist Dominion in restoring power, particularly in the Valley, which was one of the hardest hit areas.
All Dominion customers are expected to have power return by Sunday.
Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative has restored power to all customers who lost it in last Friday's violent storm.
Seven SVEC customers are without power because of storms that hit the northern Valley on Wednesday: four in Frederick County, two in Page County and one in Augusta.
