UPDATE: Fewer Than 1,000 Remain Without Power In Region
Shenandoah County Hardest Hit In Region
As of 5 p.m., Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative said about 639 of its 10,615 customers in Shenandoah remained without power. The number had been well above 5,000 earlier in the day.
The cooperative had just five customers without power in Rockingham County, and one each in Augusta and Page counties.
Dominion Virginia Power reported just under 260 outages in Shenandoah at 5 p.m., and five in Rockingham. Power to all affected customers in Augusta and Page counties has been restored, according to Dominion.
