Police Collar Suspect In Break-Ins

HARRISONBURG — Harrisonburg police arrested a city man Thursday in connection with a series of break-ins at local eateries.

Ervin Guillen-Mendez, 18, is charged with five felony counts of breaking and entering, two felony counts of grand larceny, two felony counts of conspiracy to commit a felony, five misdemeanor counts of property damage and misdemeanor petit larceny.

Police say the crimes happened in October.

Police say the break-ins took place at the Ciro’s Lasagna House on East Market Street and at four businesses on South Carlton Street. Investigators say Guillen-Mendez broke into the Arby’s, Little Caesars, Dairy Queen and El Rancho.
