HARRISONBURG — The Harrisonburg City School Board will host a public hearing Tuesday on its proposed $59.4 million budget and the potential effects of sequestration. The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers, 409 S. Main St.
Superintendent Scott Kizner will present information related to sequestration — the automatic federal budget cuts that took effect on Friday — and how the division plans to handle expected losses in funding.
