CLOVER HILL – Left fielder Andrew Armstrong, a former Turner Ashby High School and Ohio State player, hit a grand slam in the second inning, part of an eight-run frame as Clover Hill defeated Broadway 11-1 in a Rockingham County Baseball League game Friday at Buck Bowman Park.
The Bucks improved to 19-5; the Bruins dropped to 6-17.
First baseman Shane Banks hit a two-run home run in the third inning for the Bucks.
Shortstop Elisha Hill hit a sacrifice fly to score Nathan Wisman in the second inning for the Bruins.
