Bucks Come Back To Beat Reds

CLOVER HILL – First baseman Shane Banks homered, and center fielder Andrew Weaver scored the eventual game-winning run on a balk as Clover Hill rallied to beat Bridgewater 6-5 in a Rockingham County Baseball League game Tuesday at Buck Bowman Park.

The Bucks improved to 16-5; the Reds fell to 4-13.

Luray 12, New Market 4: First baseman Cody Swisher went 4-for-5 with three RBIs, and Luray defeated New Market 12-4 in a Rockingham County Baseball League game Tuesday in New Market.

The Cavemen improved to 13-8; the Shockers fell to 3-17.

Zach Leake allowed two earned runs over seven innings for the win.

Elkton 12, Montezuma 2: Catcher Logan Furloines hit a pair of home runs and had four RBIs to lead Elkton to a 12-2 seven-inning, slaughter-rule win over Montezuma in a Rockingham County Baseball League game Tuesday in Montezuma.

The Blue Sox improved to 11-7; the Braves fell to 8-11. Center fielder Terrell Thompson also homered for Elkton.
