HARRISONBURG — Six area bicycle enthusiasts will attend the National Bike Summit in Washington, D.C., next week.
More than 800 people are expected at the event, which will emphasize how bicycling can boost local economies.
Attending the summit from Harrisonburg and Rockingham County are Thanh Dang, a city planner; Rhonda Cooper, a county planner; Kyle Lawrence, president of the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition; Suzi Carter, representing the city’s Northend Greenway trail; and Rich Harris and Mike Dalmolin, representatives from James Madison University.
The event is March 4-6.
