Temps In Single Digits, Wind Chill Below Zero

HARRISONBURG — Weather forecasters are predicting up to 7 inches of snow in the central Shenandoah Valley on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday for much of Virginia and West Virginia.

Snow is expected to begin falling late tonight and continue through Tuesday evening, with the heaviest snowfall forecast for Tuesday morning through the midday. Total accumulation of 3 to 7 inches is possible, according to NWS.

NWS says temperatures will drop “into the single digits in the mountains and in the teens elsewhere. Wind chill values will be around zero Tuesday afternoon dropping to minus 15 Tuesday night.”
