Spuds Away: Farm To Give Bounty To Needy

John Hopkins, manager of Cave Hill Farm, has spent about $1,000 on seed, fertilizer and running farm equipment to grow a potato crop that he plans to give away to the needy this weekend. Hopkins expects a yield of nearly 20 tons of spuds, which will be available to anyone who wants to harvest them at the McGaheysville farm.(Photos by Nikki Fox / DN-R)
