SRI Executive To Address Council

HARRISONBURG — A top executive with a major research firm will speak at the Shenandoah Valley Technology Council’s October luncheon.

Walter Moos, who leads the Biosciences Division of SRI International, will speak at the organization’s Oct. 24 meeting at James Madison University, according to a news release.

SRI Shenandoah Valley, based at Rockingham County’s research and tech park north of Harrisonburg, is a part of the Biosciences Division.

Moos will discuss the “complex relationship between the economics of drugs and innovation,” the release says.

The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. in the Montpelier Room of JMU’s East Campus Dining Hall.

Members and nonmembers of the technology council are invited to attend.

Cost is $12 per person, and registration is required by Monday at noon.
