Don “Robin” Sullenberger III, former CEO of the Shenandoah Valley Partnership, served as commencement speaker during BRCC’s graduation Saturday.
Friends and family take photos and greet grads as they step off the stage after getting their diplomas.
One grad invoked the film “Up” by filling the top of her mortarboard with the movie’s tag line, along with a design of the film’s flying house. “Adventure” — in the form of a still-shaky job market — is indeed out there for this year’s grads, Sullenberger said, but he told them BRCC has given them the tools to be successful in today’s fast-paced, high-tech world.
Mortarboards had a “2014” clasp affixed to the tassel.
