Terps Beat JMU, 10-7

Shortstop Blake Schmit went 3-for-5, helping Maryland beat James Madison 10-7 in a non-conference college baseball game Tuesday.

The host Terrapins improved to 13-7; the Dukes fell to 11-8.

Center fielder Johnny Bladel, left fielder Chad Carroll and shortstop Tyler Duke each went 2-for-4 for Madison, which allowed eight runs on seven hits in the sixth inning.
