Posted: August 11, 2014

HARRISONBURG — A section of Bloomer Springs Road, or Va. 646, near Massanutten Resort will be closed as Virginia Department of Transportation crews work to install a box culvert, according to a press release from the state agency.

The work zone will be less than a half-mile north of the intersection with Va. 644, or Resort Drive. Detours will be posted to take drivers around the closure. Work is scheduled to be complete by Aug. 20.

In Shenandoah, flaggers will control traffic on Maryland Avenue as milling, paving and line marking operations take place. The work zone will be between First Street and just north of Comer Lane, just outside the town limits.

Paving operations will also be taking place in the town on Eighth Street between Maryland and Denver avenues. Work on both sections of road will take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
