For Cab Driver, The People He Meets Make The Job Interesting

While some of Royal’s cabbies charge extra for more than two passengers, Newcomb says he tries to avoid it. Passengers who vomit in his cab, though, will have to pay — he charges $50 to cover the time he’ll spend off the road cleaning the vehicle.
Each day, before Newcomb returns his vehicle to Royal Cab & Limo Co., he makes sure it’s clean and has a full tank of gas.
HARRISONBURG - For a man who works 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. some days and 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. others, Trad Newcomb is pretty happy with his job.
