WASHINGTON — Authorities in Fairfax County say a 26-year-old woman has been charged with driving under the influence in connection with a crash that injured several people including two children and a Fairfax County police officer.
Police say an officer was making a traffic stop on Interstate 66 near Monument Drive on Monday around 10:15 p.m. when a driver hit his police cruiser. The cruiser then hit the vehicle the officer had stopped.
Police have charged Dianna Holloway with driving under the influence. A 6-year-old boy riding in the vehicle that was struck by the police cruiser was injured as was the driver of the vehicle. Holloway, the officer and a 1-year-old who was with Holloway all had injuries that were not life-threatening.
