Posted: January 7, 2013

HARRISONBURG — Sixth District Rep. Bob Goodlatte has appointed Pete Larkin of Roanoke as his new chief of staff.

Goodlatte, R-Roanoke, took over as chairman of the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday. As a result, his former chief of staff, Shelley Husband, became chief of staff of the committee.

The congressman then promoted Larkin, who had been Goodlatte’s district director, to Husband’s former position.

Husband, of Augusta County, is the daughter of state Sen. Emmett Hanger, R-Mount Solon.

Debbie Garrett, who had been Goodlatte’s Staunton area representative, takes Larkin’s place as district director.
