JMU’s Watford I-AA All-American

HARRISONBURG — James Madison’s Earl Watford and Stephon Robertson were named to The Sports Network’s Division I-AA All-America football team Monday.
Watford, a senior offensive guard and NFL prospect, was a first-team selection — one of four first-teamers from the Colonial Athletic Association. Joining Watford were Old Dominion quarterback Taylor Heinicke, New Hampshire linebacker Matt Evans and Richmond defensive back Cooper Taylor.
Robertson, a middle linebacker and the CAA Defensive Player of the Year, was named to the second team.
Also making the second team from the CAA were Richmond fullback Kendall Gaskins and William & Mary defensive back B.W. Webb.
EMHS Boys Fall To Stonewall, 56-49
QUICKSBURG – Junior guard Colton Harlow scored 20 points to lead Stonewall Jackson High School to a 56-49 win over Eastern Mennonite in a non-district boys’ basketball game Monday.
The Generals improved to 1-2; the Flames fell to 1-5.
Junior guard Aaron Bergman scored 23 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead EMHS.
