EMHS Routs Mount Carmel

HARRISONBURG
— Junior guard Lauren D’Agostino, senior guard Molly Hine and sophomore guard Bailey Waizecker each scored eight points to help Eastern Mennonite High School beat Mount Carmel Christian 47-27 in a non-conference girls’ basketball game Monday.

The Flames improved to 17-4; Mount Carmel’s record was not available.

Senior Sabrar Bosley had 18 points for Mount Carmel.

EMU’s Rheinheimer Honored

Eastern Mennonite University women’s basketball junior guard Steph Rheinheimer was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday after hitting nine of 18 3-pointers in two wins last week.

Rheinheimer went 5-of-9 from distance and scored 19 points in a win over Randolph-Macon last Tuesday, then went 4-of-9 from 3 for 12 points in a win over Guilford on Saturday.

The first-place Royals (17-5 overall, 13-1 in the ODAC) play at Bridgewater College (13-9, 10-4) at 7 p.m. today.
