JMU Sweeps Hartford

HARRISONBURG — Freshman catcher Bobby San Martin hit a walk-off home run with two outs in the 11th inning, giving James Madison’s baseball team an 11-9 win over Hartford on Sunday to complete a four-game sweep at Veterans Memorial Park.
JMU won Saturday’s games 10-2 and then 6-2.
The Dukes, who have won four in a row for the first time since 2011, improved to 6-6; the Hawks dropped to 0-8.
In Saturday’s second game, senior shortstop Casey Goss went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and junior designated hitter Conner Brown also went 2-for-4.
San Martin also went deep in Game 1, while Brown and junior first baseman Matt Tenaglia each went 3-for-4.
