Don’t Believe Lies On Climate Change

Posted: December 4, 2012

In light of an article published about the tobacco industry, I have to wonder how many years it will take for a judge to order the fossil fuel industry to admit its lies about denial of climate change science (“Judge Orders Tobacco Firms to Admit Lies,” Nov. 28).

In a well-written book, “Merchants of Doubt,” Naomi Oreskes spells out how the same group who spread the lies about tobacco switched to telling lies about climate change. Well worth the read.

Big money can do a lot, but the truth will come out. If we don’t act soon to reduce our CO2 use, life for everyone will be drastically changed. Like smokers, we are addicted to dirty energy.

It is time to seriously start cleaning up our atmosphere. Don’t believe the lies this time!
