Dow Shows Obama’s Policies Are Working

Posted: September 28, 2012

While the Dow Jones Industrial Average is not the only indicator of economic health, it is one important indicator that many people use to gauge the state of our economy.

Here’s an interesting fact: On Jan. 23, 2009, just a few days after President Obama took office, the Dow average stood at 8077.56. At mid-day Sept. 14, 2012, I checked the Dow average. It was 13,585.74.

I’m not sure how anyone can say that President Obama is running the economy into the ground. It appears that he has done a very good job of getting the economy back on track. Yes, we still have a ways to go, but considering that the all time Dow high is 14,164.53, I think we are doing quite well.

From an investment standpoint, it looks to me like the current economic policy is working.
