ECC Hosting Career Night

HARRISONBURG — Prospective 911 operators can get a feel for the job at an open house this week.
The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Emergency Communications Center will host a career night Thursday at its headquarters on the fifth floor of the Public Safety Building at North Main and Elizabeth streets in Harrisonburg.
The event runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m., during which time ECC staff members will be available to answer questions, provide information and give tours of the facility, according to a press release.
ECC dispatchers field emergency and nonemergency calls for police, firefighters, medical personnel and others in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.
Employee recruitment will begin Friday. Prospective employees can apply online at www.harrisonburgva.gov/employment.
