Elkton’s Legal Team Leaving

Town Needs New Attorney

Posted: October 4, 2012

Elkton’s legal team is moving on after providing counsel to the town for more than five years.

Lauri A. Nowakowski Sigler and M. Christopher Sigler are relocating to Northern Virginia, where Christopher Sigler has accepted a job with Fairfax County, according to Town Manager Kevin Fauber.

The Siglers operated their own firm, Sigler & Sigler PLLC, in Harrisonburg.

Lauri Sigler has agreed to continue working with Elkton until a new town attorney is hired, Fauber said.

Elkton is seeking proposals until Oct. 15, at which point the Elkton Town Council will narrow down the list of candidates and conduct interviews.

The town hopes to appoint a new attorney by November, Fauber said.
