McCoy Leads Blazers: SHS Defeats Pioneers, 90-67
 
PENN LAIRD
— Junior point guard Tucker McCoy scored 33 points as Spotswood High School beat Millbrook 90-67 in the Blazer Tip-Off Tournament championship game Saturday night in Penn Laird.

The Trailblazers improved to 2-0; the Pioneers fell to 1-1.

Rze Culbreath led Millbrook with 15 points.

Weiler was named tournament MVP, scoring 49 points over two days and leading SHS in rebounds. McCoy, who also had 49 total points, made the all-tournament team. Joining him and Weiler were Culbreath, Cody Brooks (Millbrook), Andrew Rowsey (Rockbridge) and Jamal Simpson (Stuarts Draft).

Rowsey, a senior guard who will play D-I basketball at UNC-Asheville, scored 60 points in Saturday’s 117-87 consolation win over Stuarts Draft.

Jefferson Forest 73, Harrisonburg 45: Senior guard Tyler Lucy scored 21 points as Jefferson Forest High School beat Harrisonburg 73-45 in a consolation game at the Western Albemarle High School tournament Saturday.

The Streaks dropped to 0-3; the Cavaliers went 1-1 in the tournament.

Senior guard Brian Rodriguez had 14 points to pace HHS.

Page County 82, EMHS 61: Senior forward Tanner Dofflemyer scored 22 points to lead Page County High School to an 82-61 win over Eastern Mennonite in Day 2 of the EMHS Tip-Off Tournament Saturday in Harrisonburg.

The Panthers improved to 2-1; the Flames fell to 0-2.

Junior guard Daniel Nyce led EMHS with 31 points and 13 rebounds, while making the all-tournament team. Dofflemyer and Tim Brown represented Page, while East Rock’s Tyler Hensley and Turner Ashby’s Shane Brown and Taylor Corbin also made all-tournament.

The Knights improved to 3-0; the Eagles fell to 1-2.

Chase Comer led East Rock with 11 points.
