– Senior forward John Wright scored 20 points to lead East Rockingham High School to a 68-38 win over Riverheads in a Shenandoah District boys’ basketball game Friday in Greenville.

The Eagles improved to 7-7 overall, 4-3 in the district; the Gladiators dropped to 3-4 in the district. (Their overall record was not available).

Sophomore guard Logan Lam added 11 points for ERHS.

Senior forward Tanner Dofflemyer had 16 points for Page.

Senior guard Braden Cook led Luray with 19 points.


East Hardy Boys 74, Pocahontas County 38: Senior guard Shawn Skovron had 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead East Hardy High School to a 74-38 win over Pocahontas County in a Potomac Valley Conference boys’ basketball game Friday in Baker, W.Va.

The Cougars improved to 5-5 overall, 3-3 in the PVC; the Warriors dropped to 1-5, 1-4.

Senior center Tyler Mongold scored 18 points for East Hardy.


EMHS Girls 35, Covenant 31: Junior guard Lauren D’Agostino had 15 points and eight rebounds, lifting Eastern Mennonite High School to a 35-31 win over Covenant in a non-conference girls’ basketball game Friday in Harrisonburg.

The Flames improved to 8-3; the Eagles dropped to 9-4.

Junior guard Alex Black and sophomore forward Alesha Melendez scored eight apiece for the Flames. Eighth-grade forward Emily Maupin led Covenant with 12 points.
