If We Can Print Money Forever ...?

I am not an economist. I have enjoyed reading Thornton Parker (“National Debt Is No Burden,” Nov. 27). His worthy thoughts are enlightening.

The unaswered question is this: If we are a sovereign nation that cannot go broke because we can always print more money, then why do we borrow from China and owe China trillions of dollars?
