Turn Off The Football — Kids Better Served By Potter
Posted: January 7, 2013
In the posted letter from Ms. Brunk, I couldn’t help but chuckle at the premise of her comments. The “Harry Potter” series, one of the most successful publications of our time, is based on the principle of good triumphing over evil, somewhat like … the Bible?
How one could find fault with this while watching a football game, played by chemically fueled over-sized men (and paid millions of dollars doing it) doing physical damage to each other, some of which is life altering, is somewhat amusing.
I think the children would benefit more by turning off the football game and sitting down with a Harry Potter book.
