Apropos of today’s top editorial, here are Hugo Chavez’ final words, courtesy of The Associated Press: “He couldn't speak but he said it with his lips ... ‘I don’t want to die. Please don’t let me die,’ because he loved his country, he sacrificed himself for his country,” Gen. José Ornella said.
That’s one way to look at it. Or maybe, like Guevara and other tyrants before him, he was a coward who feared death, and perhaps, the divine judgment that awaited him.
