BRIDGEWATER – Kenneth Waugh hit five 3-pointers off the bench to lead Bridgewater College to an 80-57 win over Shenandoah in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Wednesday.
The Eagles improved to 9-6 overall, 3-3 in the ODAC; the Hornets dropped to 3-12, 0-6.
With the Eagles ahead by five points early in the second half, Waugh hit back-to-back 3s to give BC some breathing room.
Shenandoah’s Jared Carithers scored a game-high 16 points.
Guard Ronnie Thompson joined Waugh in double figures, scoring 10 for BC.

SU Women 72, BC 66: Imani Heggins had 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead Shenandoah University to a 72-66 win over Bridgewater in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference women’s basketball game Wednesday in Winchester.
The Hornets improved to 7-9 overall, 3-4 in the ODAC; the Eagles dropped to 7-6, 5-2.
BC guard Jessica Mullens scored 28 for the second straight game, and added five steals in the loss.
Heggins led five Hornets in double figures. Holly Chittenden also recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
