Thorne, Longacre Propel EMU Past Roanoke, 82-76
SALEM — Andrew Thorne had 21 points and Owen Longacre sank two free throws after making a steal with three seconds to go as Eastern Mennonite University beat Roanoke 82-76 in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Saturday.
The Royals improved to 5-1 overall, 1-1 in the ODAC; the Maroons fell to 4-2, 0-2.
Longacre, who scored seven of EMU’s final 10 points, finished with 14. Kwasi Amponsah led Roanoke with a game-high 24 points.

Ronnie Thomas added 18 points for BC, which shot 49 percent from the floor. Myles Turner led E&H with 18 points.
