Time To Ban Assault Weapons
Posted: January 10, 2013
So we arm teachers to prevent another Sandy Hook School shooting. What about people at sporting events, malls, movie theaters and parades?
We need to prevent assault weapons and weapons that create a barrage of bullets being fired in the blink of an eye getting in the hands of the wrong people. These are weapons of war.
If a mad man goes on a shooting rampage and has to stop to reload or switch guns and take aim, it might allow time to escape the line of fire, lessening the numbers of dead and injured.
And yes, we need to address mental health and provide help to those in need of it before your loved ones become a victim, or God, forbid, the perpetrator.
