Posted: January 30, 2013
HARRISONBURG — The next president and chief executive officer of Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community is a familiar face to many in the community.
The Virginia Avenue company’s board of directors tapped Judith Trumbo of Broadway, who will start the job on April 8, according to a Tuesday announcement from VMRC. She replaces Ron Yoder, who is retiring after 13 years on the job.
Trumbo has a long career at Rockingham Memorial Hospital going back to the early 1980s, when she was hired to work as a nurse. She became director of RMH Home Health Care in 1988 and remained in the position for 20 years before leading the transition to the hospital’s new campus off Port Republic Road, which opened in 2010.
Most recently, Trumbo was acting director of Perioperative Services for RMH.
She also serves as chairwoman of the Faith and Life Commission of the Virginia Mennonite Conference and as an associate trustee for the Eastern Mennonite University board of directors.
