We Must Repent Of Sin

Posted: January 29, 2013

“Evil has come to Connecticut.” So said the governor when he heard of the bloody schoolhouse slaughter in Newtown. The media agreed adding, “Where did it come from?” Why? The murderer’s name, Adam, should have reminded all that “sin entered the world thru Adam and death with it,” (Romans 5:12-19) and of Christ’s own view of all such horrendous slaughters (Luke 13:1-5).

Only God’s common grace keeps us all from acting out sin’s full potential. And Only Christ’s blood will save from sin’s evil and keep our children safe, not government!

A national day of prayer and fasting? No. The next day we turned to government and psychiatry to save us from ourselves. The president has admitted these things would not have prevented it. Woe unto us!

If we want our children safe, we must repent of our godless humanism, and believe, not in government, but in what His blood has accomplished for us.
