City Rescue Crews Respond To Car Into House

Crash On West Market Leaves Driver Pinned

HARRISONBURG — Around 11:35 p.m. Friday, city fire and rescue personnel responded to a call from Harrisonburg-Rockingham County Emergency Communications Center regarding a single-vehicle crash in the 1700 block of West Market Street, near Stoneleigh Drive and and Garbers Church Road.

According to on-scene observations, a four-door Mazda 6 sedan appeared to have veered off the right side of the road while traveling east down West Market Street and hit the corner of a house.

The driver was pinned inside the vehicle for 15 to 20 minutes before emergency crews were able to extract the person from the car.
