Wedding, engagement and anniversary announcements are published on Saturdays in the Daily News-Record. Announcements may be submitted by email to Kyleen Kendall at firstname.lastname@example.org or in person from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Daily News-Record office, 231 S. Liberty St.
Forms for wedding and engagement announcements are available to download or you may submit a written announcement as you would like it to appear. A photograph of the couple or bride may be submitted. Photos run in color, though you may submit a black and white photo if you prefer. A .jpg, at least 200 dpi, may be emailed with the announcement. Please include both names of the couple in the subject line. For a print copy, please mail it to Celebrations, P.O. Box 193, Harrisonburg, VA 22803 or drop it off at the Daily News-Record office. Please include both names of the couple. The photo does not need to be the exact size. It can be digitally cropped.
Announcements are paid and cost $10 per column inch. All announcements must be prepaid before publication. We accept cash, check and credit cards. Announcements must be approved and paid for by Monday at noon to appear in Saturday’s paper.
