TIMBERVILLE — Thanks to a $25,000 donation from Pilgrims Processing Plant and Protein Conversion Plant in Timberville, Plains Elementary School will be able to construct a new playground.

Pilgrims is a poultry processing plant established in 1991.

The money will be presented to the school on Tuesday and along with the check presentation, Principal J. Kapuchuck will begin the removal of the old playground by driving a large front loader through the structure.

The playground is a wooden structure and was built in 2000. It is currently deteriorating.

Although students are currently on summer break, students of Plains Elementary School who participate in the Boys and Girls Club will be in attendance on Tuesday at 11 a.m. for the check presentation.
