HARRISONBURG - Together, Harrisonburg and Rockingham County taxpayers will pay almost $32,000 for the June 9 primary, local election officials said.
The city's bills for its five precincts ran to $8,276 with a turnout of 882 voters, or just 4.2 percent of those eligible to vote.
The county's tab for 28 voting precincts ran to $23,696. A total of 1,354 voters, or 3 percent, showed up at the polls.
