HARRISONBURG - Sunday's Veterans Day parade will have twice as many participants as last year.
According to a release, 61 groups have registered for the event, 31 more than in November 2008. Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance, Dayton American Legion Post 27, the city of Harrisonburg and James Madison University organized the event, which will be held at 2 p.m. in the downtown area.
