Destiny Faith Gregory

Destiny Faith Gregory, 17, of Elkton, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. Destiny was born Sept. 27, 2001, in Rockingham County and was the daughter of Jennifer Gregory and fiancé, Justin Meadows and Jeremy Gregory.

Destiny attended Spotswood High School in Penn Laird and was in the 11th grade. Destiny was loved by all who knew her. She could light any room that she entered and a smile was always on her face. While at school Destiny was a “Rock Star” and when she wasn’t, she was granddaddy Austin’s school skipper. She had a best friend that was also her sister, Abagail. They spent all their time together and loved each other very much. She also had a best friend in school, Jenny Shifflett, whom she also loved.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her two brothers, Isaiah and Jordyn Meadows; a sister, Abagail Gregory; maternal grandparents, Austin Meadows ,of Elkton and David and April Rhodes, of Stanardsville; paternal grandparents, Mike and Donna Ludholtz, of Timberville; maternal great-grandparents, Carl and Lena Meadows, of Elkton, Velma Crawford of Stanardsville and Wayne and Patricia Crawford, of Charlottesville; paternal great-grandmother, Margie Shifflett, of Elkton and Margie Crawford of Stanardsville; special aunts, Dawn Williams and Kaitlyn Rhodes, of Elkton; special uncles, Austin Meadows Jr. and Mike Smith, of Elkton and several cousins. She also left behind special bus drivers, Ruthie Kibler and Donna Lam; special helper, Barbara Cook and a very special teacher, Chris Dodson, as well as her caregivers, Madison Claypool and Pandora Crider.

She was preceded in death by many loved ones.

Destiny was loved by all and never met a stranger.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton. Burial will follow at Meadows Family Cemetery, 3962 Parkway, Elkton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kyger Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses.
