George B. Miles

George Bernard Miles, 79, of Keezletown, passed away on Nov. 13, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Miles was born July 27, 1939 in Rockville, Ind., to the late Freddie C. and Mary L. Fellows Miles. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and the Keezletown Ruritans. He was a leader and volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 40 and 48 for many years. He was a route salesman for White Horse Distribution before retiring. He enjoyed camping and hiking, and loved spending time with family.

Mr. Miles is survived by his wife, Cathy Douglas Miles; sons, Jeff Miles and wife, Mary, Jason Miles and fiancée, Patti Klaiss, Rhett Miles and wife, Catherine; a daughter, Kim Miles; brothers, Russ Miles and wife, Nancy, Wayne Miles and wife, Mildred, Jim Miles and wife, Edna; a sister, Sharon Wagner; brother-in-law, Charles Rushing; stepbrother, Gerry Farrell; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Rick Miles; a brother, Edward Miles; stepmother, Trilbie Lopp Miles; a sister, June Rushing, and stepbrothers, Bill Farrell, Don Farrell, and Max Loop.

Pastor Bob Talbott will conduct a celebration of life service at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Harrisonburg.
