Ida Mae Delawder

Ida Mae Delawder, 89, of Broadway, Va., died Nov. 7, 2018, at Curis at Harrisonburg. She was born June 27, 1929, at Cootes Store and was the daughter of the late John and Rose Delawder Ford.

Ida was a housekeeper. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In October 1948, she married Braxton Delawder, who preceded her in death Jan. 21, 1971.

Surviving are two daughters, Christine Smith and husband, Norman, of Harrisonburg and Kay Dellinger of Broadway; three sons, James Delawder and wife, Shirley, of Broadway, Timmy Delawder and wife, Carol, of Timberville and Eddie Delawder of Broadway; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Steve Estep will conduct a graveside service 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Mennonite Church Cemetery near Broadway.

Arrangements are entrusted to Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.grandlefuneralhome.com.
