Phillip Wayne Raines, 61, of Keezletown, passed away Aug. 28, 2018, at his home. He was born May 2, 1957, in Harrisonburg, Va., to Agnes “Aggie” Rodgers and the late Charles Edward Raines Jr.

Phillip went to Montevideo High School and continued his education at Elon College, where he received a degree in biology and chemistry. He later spent his career as a dairy farmer.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Chuck Raines and wife, Barbara; sisters, Tish Morris, Debbie Raines and Becky Mayes and husband, JR; 11 nieces and nephews and their spouses and seven great- nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Melvin Morris, and a nephew, Andy Morris.

A private graveside service will be conducted in Port Republic Cemetery officiated by Pastor William Staton.
