Sue Carper Shenk

Sue Carper Shenk, 58, a resident of Linville, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019. Mrs. Shenk was born April 20, 1961, in Rockingham County and was a daughter of the late Charles Edward and JoAnn Michael Carper Jr.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandma. She and her husband worked together on their family farm all of their marriage. She was the heart of the farm and the light of every new day. She loved people and never met a stranger

On Feb. 14, 1981, she married her husband, Gerald Shenk, who survives.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Shenk is survived by her two sons, Jason Lamont Shenk and wife, Amy, of Harrisonburg and Jonathan Lee Shenk and wife, Danae, of Weyers Cave; siblings, Etta Armentrout and husband, Dale, of Keezletown, Diane Horst and husband, Jerry, of Harrisonburg, Dewitt Carper and wife, Sharon, of Keezletown, Chuck Carper of Keezletown, Anna Good and husband, Frank, of Dayton, Jake Carper and wife, Bobbi Jo, of Keezletown and Sarah Frum and husband, Mike, of Keezletown and four grandchildren, Bryce Shenk, Alyssa Shenk, Lydia Shenk and Oliver Shenk.

Pastors Ric Gullman and Loren Horst will conduct a memorial service Monday, July 8, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Lindale Mennonite Church.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 7, 2019, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home.
