Raymond Ray Conley

Raymond Ray Conley, 74, of Penn Laird, died Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Envoy of Staunton.
He was born April 23, 1938, in Greene County, and was a son of the late Curtis Lee and Hannah Morris Conley.

On Dec. 1, 1959, he married Brenda Lee Beasley, who preceded him on April 23, 2011. He was also preceded by a son, Jerry Anderson Conley.

He moved to this area after his marriage in Greene County and worked for a number of years at Dean Steel. He retired as a foreman for Shen Valley Masonry and loved to Golf.

Surviving are one son, Curtis R. Conley of Clover Hill; one daughter, Gloria K. Reedy of Penn Laird; four brothers, Otho Lee Conley and Clee Conley, both of Elkton, and Earl Conley and George Conley, both of Fredericksburg; four sisters, Marie Fuchs and Janie Dean, both of Harrisonburg, and Karen Medley and Doris Hilldrup; both of Fredericksburg; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg by the Rev. James Kite. Burial will follow at the Linville Cemetery.

The family will receive Monday from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
