David Robert Manning Jr.

Mr. David Robert Manning Jr., 83, a resident of Harrisonburg, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
 
A son of the late David (Sr.) and Maggie Manning, he was born on April 10, 1929, in Harrisonburg. Va.
 
He served in the U.S. Air Force and had been employed by Interstate Commerce Commission,
 
Surviving are his wife, Janet Gregg Manning of Harrisonburg; two daughters, JoAnn and husband, Rob King, of Odenton, Md., and Cynthia  “Cindy” and husband, Al Chisare, of Long Island, N.Y.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by eight siblings.
 
A graveside service will be held Monday, May 7, at 10 a.m. at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Al Chisare officiating.
 
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home.
