Zane G. Fulk

Zane Grey “Coon” Fulk, 68, of Bergton, Va., died June 27, 2012, at his residence.

He was born March 15, 1944, in Rockingham County, and was a son of the late Joseph Clark Fulk Sr. and Alma Ruth Hoover Fulk.

He was a maintenance worker and truck driver for VDOT for 35 years before retiring.

On Dec. 25, 1968, he married the former Dorothy Caplinger, who survives.

He is also survived by his son, Wesley Fulk of Bergton and six brothers, Joseph C. “Ted” Fulk Jr. and Billy Fulk, both of Fulks Run, David “Jim” Fulk of Harrisonburg, Dennis and Andy Fulk, both of Bergton, and Rick Fulk of Penn Laird.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Loy “Tom” Fulk, Emerson Dean Fulk, Albert Fulk and Loyd James Fulk; and sisters, Betty Showalter and Mary Catherine Fulk.

 The Rev. Joel Robinette will conduct a funeral service 11 a.m. Friday at Grandle Funeral Home chapel in Broadway. Burial will be in the Caplinger Cemetery in Criders.

Friends may call anytime at the Fulk residence or the funeral home.
