Mark C. Catron

Mark Curtis Catron, 41, of Stanley, Va., died July 26, 2012, at Page Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 16, 1971, in Virginia Beach, Va., and was the son of Curtis Ray Catron of Charleston, S.C., and Nancy McCracken Morrison of Virginia Beach.
He was a self-employed painter. He attended Mount Carmel Regular Baptist Church in Luray.
On Feb. 14, 2003, he married the former Robin Mongold, who survives.
Also surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are his “Sunshine Girl” and the love and joy of his life, daughter, Kahlynn Alyssa Catron of Stanley; one sister, Kari Oliff of Montross, Va.; two stepbrothers, Jason Gorman and Bart Morrison, both of Florida; three stepsisters, Amy Brown of Virginia Beach, Kelly Stace of Charleston, S.C., and Nina Morrison of New York; maternal grandparents, Hugh and Doris McCracken of North Carolina; two aunts, Roslyn Allison of Kentucky and Dianne McCracken of Virginia Beach; one uncle, Gary Catron of Tennessee; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pastor Kevin Gerber will conduct a funeral service 11 a.m. Monday at the Grandle Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway. Burial will be in the Linville Creek Cemetery in Broadway.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Grandle Funeral Home.
