Danny K. Sherman

Danny Keith Sherman, 49, of Broadway, died Aug. 29, 2012, at his residence.

He was born May 15, 1963, in Rockingham County, and was a son of Fred W. and Anna M. Corbin Sherman of Timberville.

He was a lumberman at Neff Lumber Mills in Broadway. He was a member of Linville United Methodist Church, and a lifetime member of Broadway Rescue Squad. He was an avid fisherman, and cat lover.

On March 8, 1986, he married the former Pam Shifflett, who survives.

Also surviving in addition to his wife and parents are a son, Jared W. Sherman of Broadway; a daughter, Tess N. Sherman of Broadway; three brothers, Randy Sherman of Bergton, Jerry Sherman of Broadway and Jeff Sherman of Tenth Legion.

His sister, Peggy Taylor, preceded him in death.

Marlin Fulk and the Revs. Brian Posey and Mark Landes will conduct a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Broadway High School auditorium.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday at BHS.

The body was cremated.
