Donald Sterling Diehl

Donald Sterling Diehl died on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, in Montgomery Village, Md.  Mr. Diehl was born on Oct. 13, 1928, in Hershey, Pa., the son of Earl and Icie Diehl of Harrisonburg, Va.  He was the beloved husband of 59 years of Rose Catherine Diehl of Gaithersburg, Md.; loving father of Deborah Thompson of Lake Orion, Mich., Carol Diehl and Julie Diehl, both of Gaithersburg, Md.; brother of I.W. Diehl of Harrisonburg, Va., and Earl C. Diehl of Frederick, Md.; grandfather of Matthew, Jason, Lauren, Jared and Morgan; great-grandfather of two.

The family will receive friends at Pumphrey’s Colonial Funeral Home, 300 W. Montgomery Ave. (Route 28 just off I-270 exit 6-A) Rockville, Md., on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., where a service will be held on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Russ Ross officiating. Interment, Parklawn Memorial Park.
