Guy M. Strawderman

Guy Melvin Strawderman, 89, of Mathias, W.Va., died Sept. 14, 2012, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
 
He was born Sept. 13, 1923, in Hardy County, and was a son of the late Perry Washington and Ressie Mongold Strawderman.
 
He had worked at Mason Reger Orchards before retiring and was a member of Mathias Church of the Brethren.
 
He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, and a special caregiver, Donna Dixon, of Mathias.
 
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Russell, Ray, Roy, Guy and Grant Strawderman.
 
Pastor Bob Curns will conduct a funeral service Monday at 2 p.m. at Mathias Church of the Brethren. Burial will follow in the Strawderman family cemetery in Mathias.
 
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
